Kendra Tate

“The truth is: Belonging starts with self-acceptance. Your level of belonging, in fact, can never be greater than your level of self-acceptance, because believing that you're enough is what gives you the courage to be authentic, vulnerable and imperfect.” ~  Brene Brown

MEET Kendra:

Kendra Tate is a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. She is skilled in a variety of treatment modalities and patient care approaches, including Community Health Worker (CHW) training, Trauma-Informed Care Training/EMDR, and Treatment and Recovery. Her extensive work in the field has deepened her understanding of treating individuals with mental illnesses, supporting their families, and navigating service systems tailored to their needs while advocating for social justice.

Clients describe Kendra as open-minded, amiable, and authentic. Her personal journey, influenced by her uncle's mental illness, has fueled her passion for helping others. Inspired by her personal experiences, notably her uncle's battle with schizophrenia and the film A Beautiful Mind, Kendra has developed a profound awareness of mental health issues. This inspiration drives her commitment to reducing stigmatization and advocating for effective treatment, combining antipsychotic medication with regular therapy sessions.
